little bitty moments

The evening sun makes it way over prune trees and through the playhouse door.
My bare feet feel it's warmth appreciatively as the weather is finally cooling off in fall preparation.
An unseen spider web is now illuminated by the setting sun.
Conference lines, phrases, and melodies echo in my mind as Cam fills the cups with dirt and walnut shells.
"Daat Doo" (thanks you) she hands me an eggshell and saucer while still managing her sippie cup under one arm.
We never got dressed today and her pink ruffly pjs show the tell tale mark of a dusty slide.
We clap and cheer for Daddy and his famous backflips on the trampoline.
He readily accepts our praise and dances and spins and repeats.
She hustles to join him now calling " Da dA da" though often it is "MA!" (Mark!).
The house still smells like Nana's SpareRibs and my sensitive prgnant self isn't looking forward to going in just yet,
but Cami's drippy nose and dirt made goatee are calling out to the bathtub.
As if she can read my thoughts she quickly shuts us in the playhouse and pointing, jabbers at me once again disappearing the spiderweb in the corner.

You paint a picture with words that the camera would miss.

I agree with Julie, that one was better than a picture
